Das herrlich am Watzmann gelegene Almgelände lässt sich aus mehreren Himmelsrichtungen erreichen. Die schnellsten Anstiege mit einer Gehzeit von etwa 2 ½ Stunden beginnen in Schönau am Großparkplatz des Königssees oder am Parkplatz Hammerstiel.
